Once in a while I get my friends who
miss some of d suggestions I make on
how to change Nigeria from its hopeless
state today to fulfill its potential of
becoming d pride of d black pple.
These are some of d inevitable steps
that if implemented faithfully ll achieve
that. Jumbo pay for political office
holders should be removed and only
basic allowances shld be paid, this ll
send d signal that politics is for service
instead of removing
fuel subsidy. Ban ministers, directors
and special advisers from seeking
medical attention abroad. The
education minister must not have her
children and grandchildren in private
schools or abroad; indeed, all ministers
and generals should withdraw their
children from private schools. No staff
member of PHCN must own a
generator. No worker in a water
ministry or board should be allowed to
sink a bore hole at his residence. In the
medium term, these conditions should
be extended to other Nigerians,
including those at the presidency and
the National Assembly.
To create jobs, we have to stop schools
from producing job seekers; education
is beneficial only when it can make one
acquire skills that will enable one to put
food on the table. Workers should work.
Most civil servants and public servants
merely constitute a drain pipe and foster
d culture of corruption. we
have to stop importing things we can
produce in this country; if prohibited
items are found in the market, the
customs men should be punished.
Also, there are right policies that can
encourage convicted thieves to return
ALL funds
stolen and stashed abroad, Then use it
to
set up industries that employ people.
Psychopants that always
hang around the presidency shld be
sent packing. These
include some state governors and
legislators. They hang around to distort
facts for their own selfish interest. In
conclusion security must be a topmost
priority cos no meaningful development
can occur if there is insecurity and no
investor ll put his money where it is not
secure, for instance, who are behind
the current attempt to make the
country ungovernable? The security
agents have told us they know them.
So, why are they not in jail yet so also
pple who hv been confirmed to hv
acquired wealth in questionable
circumstances.
