The introduction of the card reader is the game changer because it provided a verification data base to compare  accredited voters with number of valid votes.
The social media should be credited for the way and manner this elections have turned out to be largely  peaceful,with some ugly incidents which led to loss of lives especially in Gombe and Rivers states . The social media also played a huge role by offering a platform of constant interactions among citizens making  information available in real time thereby reducing rumours which could be a catalyst for violence.

You cannot abuse other fellow citizen’s  way of life or Abuse people like  ibb,obj and TY openly ( the 3 muskateers )and expect to win elections in Nigeria. These guys started running shows when there was no time.
The joy of democracy is tenure which  give the electorate the chance to make changes after four years . If Buhari and APC dont live up to expectations we retire them in 2019.
GEJ allowed the trappings of power to consume him to the extent that his six years was characterised by insecurity. over 200 bomb blast occurred killing peopl in thousands yet not a single person has been prosecuted a couple occured in Abuja the federal capital. Under his watch the North East  region is in ruins almost inaccessible. Official conservative estimates indicated that 20 000 people were killed while over a million are still displaced driven from their homes by bandits for almost a year . To add insults to injury he postponed an election which he knew he will have lost.

In a jiffy (6 weeks) Boko-Haram was decimated and all the captured caliphate territories have been reclaimed. The question on most peoples mind is why did it take such  a long time for actions to be taken. So avoiding a political electoral defeat is now more important than all the lives lost. We were told the military had no weapons all of a sudden overnight they now have weapons. In the last 3 years not a single counter terror operation was conducted by the army to reclaim areas occupied by the insurgents under the leadership of a ghost ( one shekau who died, ressurected and signed a cease fire agreement which he later denied). A bulk of the  schools,hospitals ,telcom infrastrucure, peoples houses and bussiness premises were burnt and destroyed by marauding gunmen in convoys of military grade armoured vehicles and sophisticated weapons. what we saw was pictures and stories of Nigerian soldiers deserting and mutineering.  Alot of them have been court marshalled and sentenced to death for asking for better weapons.
In the six weeks shift dollars flooded the political atmosphere. Caution was thrown to the dogs and the  electorate were openly induced with hard foriegn currency to sway their votes leading to a free fall for the Naira to almost 220 to a dollar in the international currency market. All sorts of characters were coarsed into the endorsement industry and
Even though it was harmattan season dollars was still raining.
With collation almost completed the biggest electoral defeat in the history of Nigeria is in the making and GEJ has an opportunity to provide one last grasp of fresh air by congratulating APC with a pledge to hand over to Buhari on 29th may. This will go a long way in erasing his notorious association with convicted thieves who he rehabilitates and gives political powers to. You cant surround yourself with narrow minded excons and call it transformation. People in power must always act responsibly that was lacking in Mr joe and his Dame.
