Founder of IBI foundation Ltr Cdr Ibrahim Babainna declares for Adamawa state Governor under PRP

Renowned philanthropist Ltr Cdr Ibrahim Babainna rtd on Saturday 7th May 2022 declared his intention to run for the office of Adamawa state Governor on the platform of the people’s Redemption party (PRP).

Ibrahim Babainna made the declaration at a Capacity filled Fasnet cinema in Jimeta Yola the Adamawa state capital in the company of his family,associates, National and state party Executives of PRP,other aspirants of the party,youth organisations, representatives of traditional rulers,the clergy and teeming supporters.

In his declaration speech Babainna outline his vision for Adamawa state thus:

“My vision of a Greater Adamawa is one where every single productive citizen is gainfully employed in pulling in one direction: the socio-economic prosperity of the state leveraging on speciailisation in agri-business, building a society where indeed, young or old, male or female, regardless of religion or ethnicity, ‘no one is left behind”.

With this declaration, Babainna has joined the long list of aspirants aiming to succeed the incumbent Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri who is contesting for a second term under the platform of the people’s Democratic party PDP.

The National coordinator we2geda Movement Honourable Shina peller Nigerian entrepreneur, politician, Industrialist, and a Member of the 9th National Assembly who was in Adamawa state for the declaration called on the youths to mobilise across multi partisan party lines to ensure that a new set of youths with proven track record like Lt Cdr Ibrahim Babainna rtd are supported to get elected and bring the required change at all levels of government within the country.

The aspirant also promised to focus on Agri-business which has the potential of not only properly harnessing our abundant human and natural resources in Adamawa state, with a view for it to become the centre around which all our other policies and activities as a state revolve.
